Description

The Strategy for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity in Mexico City and Action Plan 2030 is a public policy instrument designed to protect, conserve and sustainably manage ecosystems and biological diversity within the territory of Mexico City. It establishes guidelines, actions and specific goals aimed at preserving native species, restoring urban ecosystems, promoting environmental education and citizen participation in conservation. The plan articulates efforts between different sectors and levels of government to manage urban biodiversity in the face of challenges such as climate change, urbanization, and pollution. It incorporates monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure progress in implementation during the period until 2030.
