The National Strategy to Reduce Illegal Wildlife Trafficking in Peru 2017-2027 is a multisectoral planning instrument that seeks to coordinate efforts between government entities and civil society to combat illegal wildlife trade. This strategy is based on three specific objectives: educating and raising awareness among citizens, developing conditions for strict law enforcement, and implementing alliances with border countries and destinations of illegal trafficking. It includes an Action Plan 2017-2022 that details 35 specific activities to advance the fulfillment of five national goals, involving multiple institutions in its implementation and monitoring under SERFOR's leadership.
