Description
ENAREDD+ is a set of strategic guidelines that promotes mitigation and adaptation actions to climate change through comprehensive land management to foster low-carbon sustainable rural development. It seeks to contribute to the mitigation of greenhouse gases (GHG) through the conservation, management, and restoration of forest ecosystems and their biodiversity. It represents a transversal public policy based on inter-institutional coordination to ensure the articulation of investments in the rural sector. This strategy responds to the agreements established in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and establishes seven complementary components for its implementation.
