Description
The National Strategy to Prevent Environmental Risks from Pesticides in Mexico is a public policy instrument developed through a participatory process among various sectors, including government, academia, industry and civil society. It establishes priority actions in five key areas: regulation, training and education, communication and information systems, research, and response and remediation, with the aim of reducing the negative impacts of pesticides on the environment and health. This document proposes a series of concrete and measurable goals over three years, seeking to address the gaps, omissions and lack of coordination in pesticide management, promoting measures aimed at guaranteeing the right to a healthy environment, as well as nutritious and quality food.
