Description
The National Strategy for Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity and Action Plan (ENBPA) 2011-2020 is a policy instrument that establishes the vision, mission, principles and national objectives for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in the Dominican Republic. It was developed in compliance with commitments under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and aligns with the CBD Global Strategic Plan 2011-2020. The ENBPA sets out 20 national targets grouped into five strategic objectives ranging from addressing the underlying causes of biodiversity loss to improving implementation through participatory planning. It includes an Action Plan with specific actions, responsible parties, participants, and implementation timeframes.
