Description

The National Strategy for the Conservation of Biological Diversity of Venezuela is an environmental policy framework that establishes guidelines for the protection and sustainable use of natural resources in the country. This strategy, updated for the 2010-2020 period, is based on a humanistic conception that promotes a different relationship between human beings and Mother Earth, with 15 lines of action for knowledge, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. It promotes an alternative development model based on ecological, cultural, social and political sustainability, highlighting that 21% of Venezuelan territory is under special administration regime for conservation.
