Decree N°35.807: District Plan of the Federal District of a Low Carbon Emission Agriculture (ABC-DF Plan)

The District Plan for Low Carbon Agriculture of the Federal District (ABC-DF Plan) is an initiative approved by Decree No. 35807 of 09/15/2014 that seeks to integrate the Federal District into the national effort to promote the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. The plan is articulated with the Sectoral Plan for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change for the Consolidation of a Low Carbon Economy in Agriculture at the national level, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. Its objectives are to improve efficiency in the use of natural resources, increase the resilience of productive systems and rural communities, and enable the adaptation of the agricultural sector to climate change. The ABC-DF Plan will be in effect until December 31, 2020, with periodic reviews to adapt to the demands of society and new technologies.
