Decree No. 15518 establishes the State Plan for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change (ABC Plan - PIAUÍ) under the coordination of the State Secretariat for Rural Development, with the aim of reducing emissions and increasing the sequestration and fixation of Greenhouse Gases in the state's agriculture. The plan encourages the use of conservation agronomic practices such as Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration systems, no-till planting, recovery of degraded pasture areas, planted forests, biological nitrogen fixation, and animal waste utilization.
