Decree No. 11,815 establishing the National Program for the Conversion of Degraded Pastures into Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Production Systems and its Interministerial Management Committee

Decree No. 11,815 establishes the National Program for the Conversion of Degraded Pastures into Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Production Systems (PNCPD), with the purpose of promoting and coordinating public policies aimed at converting degraded pastures into sustainable systems that capture more carbon. The program seeks to facilitate access to financing linked to investments in this conversion, exclusively supporting ventures that are registered in the Rural Environmental Registry, reduce emissions or increase the absorption of greenhouse gases, and comply with rural credit regulations. The decree also establishes an Interministerial Management Committee responsible for defining the program's axes, guidelines, goals and actions, as well as establishing criteria for financing and monitoring its implementation.
