Description
The FLEGT VPA is a bilateral agreement between Honduras and the European Union that establishes a legal framework aimed at ensuring that all timber products imported into the EU from Honduras have been legally produced. It aims to promote trade in legal timber products, strengthening forest governance and combating illegal logging through a system to ensure the legality of Honduran timber products, which includes verifying legality throughout the supply chain, from forest to market, and issuing FLEGT licenses.
