Agreement No. 036-2024 on Procedure for the Approval of Forest Salvage Plans

The Agreement establishes the detailed procedure for approving Forest Salvage Plans in Honduras, applicable to forests affected by natural death, natural disasters, pests, diseases, civil construction projects, and low-impact mining projects. It clearly defines the technical and legal requirements, determines the administrative process for approval, establishes special considerations for protected areas and special management regimes, and delegates to Regional Chiefs the authority to authorize plans of less than 200 m³, in addition to instructing them and the Technical Audit Department to verify and monitor compliance with all established requirements.
