Description

The Agreement establishes guidelines for authorizing Control and Salvage Plans for forest harvesting in forests affected by natural disasters, diseases, pests, civil construction projects, and vegetation changes in lands with agricultural vocation in Honduras. It clearly defines the cases in which these plans can be authorized, such as trees felled by natural causes, trees affected by pests, trees that impede constructions or projects of public benefit, and trees on land with agricultural vocation. It details the technical and legal requirements to be met for approval, as well as the administrative procedure to be followed, and establishes the values to be paid to the ICF for forest products and by-products to be harvested.
