Peru: Law n° 32124: Amends the Law n° 31532 of financial relief for small agricultural producers affected by emergencies.

Law No. 32124 amends Law No. 31532, which establishes financial relief measures for small-scale agricultural producers affected by emergencies in the sector. The amendment authorizes the AGROPERÚ Fund to purchase up to S/ 53,380,074.00 in overdue loan balances from clients of the Agricultural Bank (AGROBANCO) who, as of August 30, 2023, are in default or under judicial or extrajudicial collection. This measure applies to debts of up to 10 tax units (UIT) per loan and is part of an emergency strategy to mitigate the effects of rising costs in the agricultural sector.
