Description
The Gender and Climate Change Action Plan (PAGcc Ecuador) is a public policy led by the Ministry of Environment, with technical support from the CNIG (National Commission for the Environment) and international cooperation. Its objective is to mainstream gender and intercultural approaches into climate change management, promoting the autonomy and participation of women, especially indigenous, Afro-descendant, and Montuvio communities. The plan seeks to provide training in clean technologies, foster sustainable entrepreneurship led by women, and promote resilient, violence-free societies. It is based on international commitments such as the UNFCCC, CEDAW, and the Beijing Platform for Action, and strengthens the implementation of Ecuador's NDC.
