Description

The Agreement was created by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) of Ecuador and establishes the general guidelines for implementing traceability systems in the country's agricultural and forestry chains, intending to strengthen production control, health, and food safety. Its application is mandatory for all operators in the sector when required by national regulations or export markets. It is governed by principles such as simplicity, fair treatment, quality, animal welfare, and information security, promoting sustainable development and consumer health. This agreement is found in Official Registry No. 564 of May 23, 2024.
