The law seeks to mainstream gender and multiculturalism into Ecuador's public and economic policies, to promote the empowerment and inclusion of women in all their diversity, especially those in vulnerable situations. It establishes incentives and strategies to guarantee women's equal access to employment, as well as social, personal, and economic opportunities. The legislation includes legal reforms in the tax, labor, and corporate areas, and grants preferential incentives to women working in productive sectors such as agriculture, livestock, fishing, and poultry. It can be found in the Official Registry Supplement 234 of January 20, 2023.
