Decree 1136 - Appointment of experts for the Study Commission for the Promotion and Development of Carbon Markets in Colombia

Decree 1136 of 2022 appoints six national and international experts to integrate the Study Commission for the Promotion and Development of Carbon Markets in Colombia, created by article 20 of Law 2169 of 2021. This Commission aims to analyze the status and potential of carbon markets in Colombia and generate recommendations to the National Government regarding their regulation and the structural reorganization of the State necessary to promote their development. The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development conducted an exhaustive search for candidates by consulting various stakeholders, forming a group with complementary academic training, knowledge and expertise in the subject, representative of the different visions of the actors that make up these markets.
