Description

The Interministerial Committee on Climate Change is a permanent body of the Brazilian Federal Executive Branch responsible for monitoring and promoting the implementation of actions and public policies related to the National Climate Change Policy. It functions as an institutional instrument to articulate government actions derived from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, including the objective of climate neutrality and subsidiary instruments to which Brazil may be a party. The CIM establishes guidelines and recommendations that must be made compatible with public policies and government programs.
