Description

The National Competitiveness Strategy (ENC) 2024-2029 is a conceptual framework that seeks to boost Panama's competitiveness through a comprehensive approach addressing both economic growth and population welfare. The ENC builds on previous efforts, addressing new opportunities and major challenges with a collaborative approach between government, private sector, and civil society. It recognizes the complexity of Panama's economy and identifies 12 key areas including territorial gaps, human capital, employment, infrastructure, institutions, innovation, justice, security, environmental sustainability, trade facilitation, business development, and foreign direct investment. The strategy establishes 26 challenges, 26 objectives, and 691 actions with 142 milestones to be implemented during the five-year period 2024-2029.
