Description

he 2008 Decree regulates responsible practices in soil use and management, prioritizing the prevention of erosion and degradation in agricultural activities. It establishes technical criteria and prohibits inadequate practices, such as tillage on slopes and the use of uncovered soils. It assigns responsibilities to the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries for dissemination, training, and enforcement of compliance with these regulations. It also introduces the requirement to submit a Soil Use and Responsible Management Plan, tailored to the characteristics of the property, aiming to ensure tolerable erosion and long-term sustainability.
