End Date: N/A

Description

The regulation establishes the framework to evaluate whether products or organisms obtained through New Breeding Techniques (NBT) are subject to the regulation of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). It includes provisions applicable to plants, animals, and microorganisms in agricultural, aquaculture, and forestry production. It creates a Technical Working Group (GTT) responsible for case-by-case scientific analysis to determine regulatory scope. Additionally, it establishes administrative procedures, evaluation mechanisms, and a sanction regime for non-compliance. It aims to promote technological innovation while ensuring proper regulatory oversight.
