National Platform for Sustainable Livestock of Honduras (PNGS)

The National Platform for Sustainable Livestock is a national governance and coordination structure between public and private institutions in the cattle sector. The platform promotes decision-making and State policies based on technical and scientific criteria oriented towards sustainable livestock in its social, economic and environmental pillars. It promotes alternative solutions to livestock sector issues and provides inputs for the design of public policies for livestock reconversion. It is made up of representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia and international cooperation. It has an organizational structure that includes a presidency, executive secretary, commissions and technical committees.
