Description

The ECDBC is an intersectoral planning and implementation process for the comprehensive management of national climate change, led by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. The strategy promotes the territorialization of climate actions, the gender approach, and other cross-cutting elements such as just transition of the workforce, science, technological development, and innovation. It facilitates planning, implementation, and capacity management in the different ministries to meet national climate goals. It seeks to accelerate, scale, and sustain transformations towards carbon neutrality and climate resilience. The strategy is being developed in four phases from 2011 to 2050.
