Monitoring and Evaluation System for Adaptation to Climate Change in Panama

The M&E-Adaptation Panama System is an official tool to measure the progress achieved in climate change adaptation in the country, with national institutional coverage. It has 21 validated indicators covering priority sectors such as energy, marine-coastal systems, agriculture, public health, among others. The system is integrated into the National Climate Transparency Platform as an official mechanism for the management, monitoring, reporting and registration of national initiatives. It seeks to guide decisions and provide evidence-based information for climate change adaptation. It operates under a hybrid approach that measures both the process of plan implementation and adaptation results.
