Fecha de inicio: 28/03/2017
Fecha de fin: 29/12/2021

Description

The National Food and Nutrition Security Plan 2017-2021 is a public policy instrument that seeks to promote food and nutrition security through intersectoral and interinstitutional coordination of actions in Panama. The Plan sets targets to reduce undernourishment to less than 5% by 2025 and address all forms of malnutrition by 2030. It focuses on three main areas: nutritional well-being, food supply and availability, and access to food, with special attention to vulnerable groups such as indigenous communities. The Plan proposes strengthening the institutional framework through SENAPAN and developing information systems to monitor the food and nutrition security situation in the country.
