Law 12.431: Tax incentives for infrastructure investments and intensive economic production in Brazil

Description

This law establishes tax incentives to promote investments in infrastructure and economic production intensive in research, development and innovation in Brazil. It reduces to zero the income tax rate on returns from certain securities and bonds acquired from 2011 onwards, when paid to beneficiaries residing abroad. It sets specific conditions for eligible securities, including a weighted average term of over 4 years and the allocation of resources to investment projects.
