Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2022
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2028

Description

The Strategy seeks to consolidate the region as a competitive and innovative territory, fostering productive transformation through the concentration of resources in key areas of specialization. These areas include mining, natural laboratories and special interest tourism, all with the potential to generate competitive advantages. The strategy focuses on economic diversification, environmental sustainability and digital transition, which implies control over future trends and the conservation of natural resources, moving towards sustainable territorial development and improving the quality of life of the population. Regarding agriculture, the ERI highlights the development of Desert Agriculture as one of the niches of specialization within the area of natural laboratories. This niche focuses on taking advantage of the characteristics of the region's desert climate to innovate in agricultural production processes, making use of advanced technologies such as smart agriculture, Big Data and artificial intelligence. The strategy underlines the importance of optimizing water resources and increasing agricultural productivity by incorporating technologies to face challenges such as drought, which is especially critical in the region.
