Law 1776 of 2016 – Rural, Economic and Social Development Interest Zones (ZIDRES)

Law establishing and developing Colombia's Rural, Economic and Social Development Interest Zones (ZIDRES) as territories suitable for agricultural, livestock, forestry and fisheries activities where productive projects may be implemented within a framework of formal economic activity and territorial planning. The Law establishes provisions to promote access to and formalization of land ownership, the social and productive inclusion of farmers, agricultural workers, rural women and rural youth, infrastructure development, technical assistance, access to credit, training, producer organization and technology transfer. It also establishes requirements for productive projects and their coordination with productive and social land-use planning.
