2030 Action Plan of the Cocoa, Forests & Peace Initiative – Colombia

Action Plan of the Cocoa, Forests & Peace Initiative guiding the transformation of Colombia's cocoa value chain toward zero-deforestation production models that contribute to forest protection and restoration, improve producers' livelihoods and support peacebuilding in prioritized territories. The Plan is structured around five strategic results: development of zero-deforestation cocoa production models; promotion of financial instruments that consolidate these models; implementation of a monitoring, verification and traceability system; strengthening cocoa-sector institutions to integrate production with forest and water-resource conservation, management and restoration; and development of a communication and transparency strategy to position Colombian cocoa associated with good practices, zero deforestation and biodiversity protection.
