National Policy for Effective Equality between Women and Men PIEG 2018-2030.

The National Policy for Effective Equality between Women and Men in Costa Rica PIEG 2018-2030 responds to international commitments on human rights and effective equality, based on the conventionality ratified by Costa Rica that protect womens rights; in particular, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW, 1984) and the Inter-American Convention on the Prevention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence against Women (Convention of Belém do Pará, OAS 1994), as well as the declarations, agreements, platforms on the subject, and the Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to ensure that no one is left behind in development.
