Decree 780 of 2024 – Peasant Agri-Food Territories (TECAM)

Decree regulating the procedure for the establishment, recognition, formalization and strengthening of Peasant Agri-Food Territories (TECAM) in Colombia. It establishes their identification and delimitation, the requirements and administrative procedure led by the National Land Agency, the Dignified Life Plans and institutional coordination mechanisms. TECAM seek to ensure the permanence of peasant communities in their territories, strengthen the peasant, family and community economy, promote food sovereignty and agroecology, conserve common natural resources and link the social and productive planning of rural property with agrarian reform and rural development.
