Description
The proposal for the creation of a voluntary individual traceability system for cattle and buffalo was unanimously approved by the Sectorial Chamber of the Beef Production Chain at a meeting on Tuesday 30. Developed by the CNA's National Commission for Cutting Bovine and Cattle Farming and Cattle Raising State Federations, the proposal includes three key points: producers' adhesion will be voluntary, they will have a minimum of eight years to adapt, and there will be no costs for producers to access the system.
