Resolution 297/2010 Approves the National Dairy Program in Argentina

Fecha de inicio: 26/08/2010
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The Program aims to support and strengthen the country's dairy sector, especially small and medium-sized producers. This program seeks to guarantee national food sovereignty and security, promote cooperatives and associativity, and add greater value to dairy production. It focuses on improving the competitiveness of the sector through actions aimed at product differentiation, certification, logistics, and quality. Likewise, the program aims to increase the supply of milk, optimize production systems, and improve the profitability of the sector, with a special focus on producers affected by droughts and with difficulties in accessing financing. The program is designed to benefit different actors in the dairy sector, including producers, cooperatives, small and medium-sized dairy industries, agricultural and agri-food schools, among others. For its implementation, the use of various financial tools is foreseen, such as loans at subsidized rates, contributions to guarantee funds, and financing for training. In addition, the plan includes the promotion of associativity, the implementation of a milk payment system based on quality, and the development of new dairy basins in non-traditional areas.
