Law creating the guarantee and promotion fund for agriculture, livestock and poultry farming (FIRA)

The Law that Creates the Guarantee and Promotion Fund for Agriculture, Livestock and Poultry Farming establishes a fund managed by the Bank of Mexico, in trust, with the objective of promoting the development of the agricultural and forestry sector in Mexico. This fund is channeled through various financial institutions such as banks, credit unions and general deposit warehouses, under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. The last reform to the law was made in 2012, adapting its regulatory framework to the administrative and financial changes in the country.
