Catastrophic insurance for small farmers in Guatemala

Description

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food seeks to promote resilience in family farmers through the implementation of Catastrophic Insurance, for economic reactivation in the face of adverse climatic events that put their assets at risk and prevent productive activity from being maintained. The aim is to subsidize insurance by 100% and reach coverage for up to 100,000 small farmers nationwide. Coverage includes rains and droughts. Payment will be made directly to the insured by sending a code (token) to the insured.
