Law 6125 Agrarian Insurance Program (Province of Corrientes)

Law No. 6125 establishes the Agrarian Insurance Program in the province of Corrientes with the objective of assisting agricultural, livestock and forestry producers through risk transfer mechanisms. The program allows the Provincial Executive to contract insurance and related services, as well as finance or subsidize producers to mitigate losses caused by climatic, physical, telluric and biological adversities. The program is governed by principles such as voluntary subscription, the possibility of individual and collective policies, and control and application by the State. In addition, it encourages the participation of producers through their associations.
