This Normative Instruction establishes the procedures for the integration, execution, and compatibility of the Rural Environmental Registry System (SICAR) and defines the general procedures for the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) in Brazil. The document details the requirements for registering rural properties in the CAR, including necessary information on permanent preservation areas, legal reserves, and consolidated use. It also addresses special cases such as agrarian reform settlements, territories of traditional peoples and communities, and conservation units.
