Description
The Agricultural Policy for Planted Forests is a decree that establishes the principles and objectives for the production, processing, and commercialization of products, by-products, derivatives, services, and inputs related to planted forests in Brazil. It defines planted forests as those composed predominantly of trees resulting from sowing or planting, cultivated with an economic approach and commercial purposes. The policy aims to increase the production and productivity of planted forests, promote their economic potential, contribute to reducing pressure on native forests, improve rural quality of life, and stimulate integration between rural producers and timber agroindustries.
