Description

The National Policy to Combat Desertification and Mitigate the Effects of Drought in Brazil is a comprehensive initiative addressing multiple aspects related to desertification, land degradation, and drought mitigation. It establishes objectives to prevent and combat desertification, recover degraded areas, and promote sustainable use of natural resources. The policy includes measures for scientific research, environmental education, integrated water resource management, and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices. It also provides for the creation of a National Commission to Combat Desertification to oversee its implementation.
