Description

This law creates the National Climate Change Fund (FNMC) in Brazil, establishing its accounting nature and linking it to the Ministry of Environment. The FNMC aims to secure resources to support projects or studies and finance ventures that seek to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The law defines the fund's sources of resources, its administration by a Management Committee, and the areas of resource application, which include education, climate science, emission reduction, and biodiversity conservation, among others.
