Description

This law establishes the legal framework for the protection and use of the Atlantic Forest Biome in Brazil. It defines the objectives of conservation, protection, regeneration and sustainable use of this ecosystem, considered national heritage. The law regulates the use of native vegetation in different stages of regeneration, establishes economic incentives for protection, and defines sanctions for non-compliance. It covers topics such as biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and forest resource management.
