Agreement No. 10/11 - Creates the Forest Statistics and Forest Monitoring Units in Honduras

Description

The decree modifies the internal structure of the Forest Information and Heritage Center (CIPF) by creating the Forest Statistics Unit, which is responsible for designing instruments and methods for collecting information, processing and analyzing data, periodically disseminating information, training personnel, preparing special reports and train in quality control of statistical data. The Forest Monitoring Unit is also created, responsible for monitoring natural resources, generating updateable statistics, developing territorial characterization processes, improving the effectiveness of forest resource management, monitoring fires and droughts, carrying out quality controls in cartographic production, and planning, monitor and follow socioeconomic and environmental indicators.
