Resolution 0048-2021 Declares a phytosanitary emergency in the entire national territory due to the presence of the pest Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 in Peru [ES]

SENASA declared a phytosanitary emergency throughout the national territory due to the presence of the pest Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 by Resolution No. 0048-2021- MIDAGRI-SENASA. Since 2012, SENASA initiated official vigilance actions for the timely detection of the pest in all banana and plantain producing regions. On April 10, 2021, the country reported the presence of the pathogen in Piura, so it was declared a phytosanitary emergency throughout the national territory and to intensify vigilance, quarantine and pest control actions.
