Description

Supreme Decree No. 4863 aims to strengthen and consolidate support for the production and marketing of Andean grains, modifying Supreme Decree No. 4632 of December 1, 2021. The decree details the necessary modifications to assign execution responsibilities. of the programs to various entities. The Deconcentrated Public Institution for Food Sovereignty (IPDSA) will be in charge of all programs except the National Program to Support the Production and Marketing of Andean Grains and the National Program for the Development of Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture in Bolivia. The National Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Innovation (INIAF) and the National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Service (SENASAG) will also have responsibilities in several programs, with some exceptions. The "PROCAMQUI" Executing Unit will be specifically in charge of the National Program to Support the Production and Marketing of Andean Grains. The Minister of Rural Development and Lands is in charge of the execution and compliance of the decree, which is framed in Bolivian rural development policies, focusing on improving the production and marketing of Andean grains such as quinoa, Cañahua, amaranth and tarwi.
