Description

Law No. 7264 establishes the National School Feeding Fund (FONAE) with the objective of guaranteeing equitable and universal school feeding (Zero Hunger) in the educational system. The law modifies and expands existing laws on school feeding and health control, as well as others related to free university education. FONAE will be financed with resources from the national budget, donations, and other authorized income. The law creates the National School Feeding Council (CONAE) to supervise and manage the fund, ensuring transparency and efficiency. In relation to family farming, the acquisition of locally produced food is prioritized, especially by peasant family farming, to ensure sustainability and the inclusion of traditional and indigenous communities.
