The EU adopts the fourteenth package of sanctions against Russia for continuing its illegal war against Ukraine, strengthening compliance and measures against circumvention

The package includes important new energy-related measures related to liquefied natural gas (LNG) and measures against ships that sustain Russias war. As far as LNG is concerned, the package prohibits all future investments in LNG projects under construction in Russia and related exports. In addition, after a transitional period of nine months, the use of EU ports for the transshipment of Russian LNG will be banned. In addition, the package prohibits the import of Russian LNG at specific terminals that are not connected to the EUs pipeline network.
