Description

The National Program of Education in Agrarian Reform (Pronera) is implemented under the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) of Brazil and is executed by the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA). The Executive Branch is authorized to grant scholarships to teachers from public education networks and to student beneficiaries of Pronera. Teachers can receive scholarships for participating in Pronera activities, as long as they do not harm their regular workload. The values and criteria for granting and maintaining scholarships will be set by the Executive Branch. The activities carried out under Pronera do not characterize an employment relationship and the amounts received as scholarships are not incorporated into salary or remuneration.
