Supreme Decree No. 2852 - Creates the National Program for Drilling Groundwater Wells “Nuestro Pozo”

Supreme Decree No. 2852 establishes the creation of the National Groundwater Well Drilling Program Nuestro Pozo and the Well Execution Unit (UE-Wells). This program seeks to guarantee the availability of water for food security in Bolivia. UE-Wells, under the supervision of the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands, will be responsible for managing and executing the program, addressing drought emergencies, and financing well construction and rehabilitation projects. The financing will come from resources allocated by Supreme Decree No. 2855, the General Treasury of the Nation, donations and credits. The entity will have administrative, financial, legal and technical independence, and will coordinate with autonomous territorial entities for the implementation and maintenance of the groundwater collection infrastructure.
