Supreme Decree No. 1858 that creates the Deconcentrated Public Institution FOOD SOVEREIGNTY

Supreme Decree No. 1858 establishes the creation of the Decentralized Public Institution "Food Sovereignty" under the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands. This institution will be in charge of the management, implementation and execution of programs and projects related to food security and sovereignty, prioritizing small and medium producers, as well as family and community agriculture. The institution replaces the Deconcentrated Unit Food Security Support Program (UD-PASA) and assumes its programs, projects, rights and obligations. In addition, it will have administrative, financial, legal and technical independence. Its functions include the administration and monitoring of programs and projects defined by the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands, as well as Law No. 448, excluding the National Fisheries Program.
