Supreme Decree No. 1922 – Creation of the Decentralized Public Institution for Fisheries and Aquaculture (PACU)

Supreme Decree establishing the Decentralized Public Institution for Fisheries and Aquaculture (PACU), under the Ministry of Rural Development and Land, to implement programs and projects for the comprehensive development of fisheries and aquaculture in Bolivia, and providing for the dissolution of the Bolivian Aquaculture Research and Development Center (CIDAB). Its functions include formulating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs and projects; supporting research and innovation; establishing sectoral information systems; strengthening producer organizations; providing training, extension and technical assistance; facilitating access to inputs and financing; promoting sustainable management of hydrobiological resources and fish consumption; and promoting fisheries and aquaculture production complexes.
