Supreme Decree No. 1922 - Creates the Deconcentrated Public Institution of Fishing and Aquaculture

Description

The main objective of the Decree is to create the Deconcentrated Public Institution of Fishing and Aquaculture (PACU), which will be under the authority of the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands. This new institution replaces the Bolivian Aquaculture Research and Development Center (CIDAB), which will be abolished. PACU will be responsible for executing comprehensive development programs and projects for fishing and aquaculture at the national level, with administrative, financial, legal, and technical independence. Its functions include managing programs and projects, supporting research and innovation, establishing information systems for the fishing sector, supporting sector organizations, generating strategies for human resource training, facilitating access to inputs and financing, and coordinating with other entities for the sustainable management of hydrobiological resources and the promotion of the consumption of hydrobiological products.
